SERGIO SCALA has been the VP of New Business Development at iStarter S.p.A. since October 2012, focusing on corporate development and raising venture capital for highly innovative start-ups in Europe. Previously, he had served as finance analyst of the Techint Group holding company, Techint Industrial Corporation S.p.A., being involved in several international corporate projects. He started his career at KStudio Associato, working for the Banking & Finance practice in the Milan-based tax & legal boutique of the KPMG International network.
Sergio graduated magna cum laude in Law and Business Administration at Bocconi University. In 2010, he was an exchange student at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and, in the summer of 2008, participated in a charity project in Nicaragua building an elementary school for the local children.
He is currently a chartered accountant trainee and passionate about start-ups, being active member of the Italia Start-up community and advisor for the italian start-up Shoozy s.r.l.
