ANDREA ZAPPALAGLIO is a DPhil researcher at the Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford (UK). He is specialised in Intellectual Property Law. He is also a free lance IP Consultant, working for innovative start-ups active in the field of open hardware, biotech and information technology. 

Andrea is affiliated to the Oxford Intellectual Property Research Centre. Moreover, he is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergamo and lecturer of the module “IP and Sustainable Development” at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan.

Andrea is the author of different scientific publications and has been awarded important academic prizes such as the “Paola Frassi Prize for Industrial Property Law” and the “GlaxoSmithKline Price for Excellence in IP and Tecnology Law”.
He speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
