was born in Milan in 1964. Currently he serves as Director of the Milan Office of McKinsey, where he directed over 300 projects in strategy, organization and operational improvement for large public and private organizations.

Among the main positions held in the past: Head of the Public Sector for the cluster South and East Europe, Member of the executive board of the Practice “Banks and Financial Institutions” in Europe , Head of Strategy, Head of the Practice “Banks and Financial Institutions” for the cluster Mediterranean (Italy , Greece , Turkey, Israel). He covered also the positions as Partner responsible for the management of clients in the financial, media and telecommunications fields in Italy, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Norway, Belgium, France. At the Ministry of Economy and Finance he hold the role of Commissioner of the Public Finance Technical Committee, which was established in order to introduce the spending review techniques in the Italian public administration. Stefano started his career as credit analyst at IMI Group. 

Author of books and publications, including: “Excellence in Retail Banking”, “McKinsey On banking”, and “In search of a sustainable banking model”.
